Shepherd's ears always do it for me, especially the 'meet in the middle' type! My first love breed and, even though we're unlikely to have any more, still my favourite.
When I was young I read Albert Payson Triune’s books. I remember him writing about the "look of eagles" regarding the collies. I think the GSD's have that look, and certainly Sophie does. I also think that what makes a German Shepherd stand out from the rest of the dog world is their integrity; you can see that in Sophie’s eyes, also. Just gorgeous!!! Sophie’s eyes and your ability to capture the look...
I really love your writing style and how you use animals to teach life lessons. I referenced this site in my most recent post, hope that is ok, I think we all can learn so much from what you share and by learning to make these observations ourselves.
Ah, makes me remember fondly the days when i waited, not always so patiently, for my shepherd pups' ears to get themselves sorted out. I must confess to a bit a panic the first time around.
Aw, and ofcourse since German Shepherds are my number one breed of choice, I must comment, that Sophie is adorbale, and you captured her perfectly in these photos.

Good choice! Keep them coming.
Oh Sophie, we believe you! We can see the adult in the pup there in that expression - lovely xx
As I recall, they do that while their still learning to control their too-big-for-their-heads ears. I love your pictures!
You have a beautiful & sweet face Sophie:)

Look at her ears!!! So cute : )
This pup's eyes tell so much. And I love his big nose.
Don't roar too loud Sophie...you might scare me!
